Money Map: Filling the Gap in Young Australian's Financial Literacy

by Charli Cameron

Money Map is an educational platform aimed at empowering young Australians (15–25) with essential financial skills for life. Through personalised quizzes, interactive lessons, and practical tools, users learn the fundamentals of budgeting, saving, debt management, risk, and more. The project breaks down financial taboos, fosters confidence, and promotes long-term money habits by reflecting each user’s experience. A “designed to be deleted” approach ensures that users gain enough independence to eventually outgrow the platform and pursue more advanced or specialised financial learning elsewhere. Money Map ultimately prepares young people to make informed, confident decisions and contribute to a more resilient, equitable society.
