Kangaringo is an interactive language-learning game designed for primary school children aged 10-12. The project aims to foster respect, curiosity, and inclusion for Indigenous culture and language in a fun and playful way.

The concept focuses on teaching animal words from the Yuggera language, chosen to acknowledge and celebrate the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the project was developed. Players navigate a map featuring ecosystems of the sea, sky, and land, each populated with animals that reveal their Yuggera translations through interactive gameplay. As players progress, adaptive difficulty keeps learning engaging, and new ecosystems unlock, expanding vocabulary and reinforcing knowledge through repetition and challenge.
